Notarised translation
A sworn translation with a notarial certification page bound to it. The notarial fee is fixed by official tariff, so the only variable worth deciding is whether your file genuinely needs this level.
In brief
- Certification level
- Noter onayı
- Estimated time
- Adds a notary visit; same or next working day where the office is open
Notarised translation is the level most Turkish institutions ask for. You receive the sworn translation with a separate notarial page attached, the whole set bound and sealed by the notary office.
What the notarial page says
The notary office name, a register number, the translator’s details and the date. It certifies that the signature belongs to a translator holding an oath record at that office.
⚠ It does not certify that the translation is accurate. The notary does not read it against the original — see what a Turkish notary certifies.
⭐ Which notary, and why it matters
An oath record works only at the office where it was taken. A translator without a record at your notary cannot be certified there, however well qualified.
So where your file is tied to a particular office — because a transaction is happening there — tell us the office and the date before anything is booked.
The fee is not ours
Notarial charges are set by an official tariff published annually. They are paid to the notary office and no translation office can raise or lower them.
That is why our quotations show the notarial item as a separate line. A quotation that folds it into one figure is not necessarily wrong, but it cannot be compared with one that does not.
Copies
Institutions generally keep the copy presented to them. Decide at the start how many certified copies you need: each is a further notarial item, and ordering later means another visit.
Do not break the binding
The seal and binding are part of the certification. A set that has been separated and reassembled is regularly refused, so do not detach pages to photocopy them.
Ask before you buy it
If the institution’s list does not mention notarisation, do not have it done. Extra certification does not strengthen a file and the fee is not recoverable — see sworn translation.
Where the transaction is elsewhere
Where your file is tied to a particular notary — because a contract, a power of attorney or a signature circular is being drawn up there — the office and the date come first, and everything else is arranged against them.
